VSTOR: Advanced Storage Platform
Storage virtualization extracts the physical process
of storing data through software and maps data from
logical storage space required by applications to
actual physical storage space. And with VSTOR's
advanced storage technologies, storage virtualization
is a reality.
VSTOR treats all physical disk resources as a single
storage pool from which logical storage is created.
Disks can be added as needed, and virtual storage
space will scale up by the same amount. This process
is fully transparent to the application! In addition,
disparate storage pools can be aggregated seamlessly
|
Today's dynamic business environment requires an
adaptive and responsive I.T. infrastructure. CIOs
are constantly under pressure to reduce costs, improve
service levels and customer satisfaction, and decrease
complexity in the data center.
As a result, there is increasing emphasis on standardization
in storage systems, ranging from data integration,
hardware standards, security models, to system analysis
and tuning.
